On November 18, 2015 at the scientific library of Saint Petersburg Institute of History of the RAS a conducted tour to the library funds for a group of students of the Faculty of liberal arts and science took place. Chief librarian Panchenko E.Z. delivered familiarization lecture and demonstrated students the most precious items such as Schedel’s World History (The Nuremberg Chronicle), the Sobornoye Ulozheniye, “Arithmetic” by L. Magnitsky (1703), the first edition of “History of the Russian State” by N.M. Karamzin, several numbers of “Sankt-Peterburgskie Vedomosti” of the 18th century and newspaper «Moniteuruniversel» issued in the years of the French revolution. The visitors also saw book exhibitions and library depositories.
