С 17 марта 2021 г. в связи с плановой оцифровкой фондов Архива СПбИИ РАН закрыт доступ к документам фонда 270 «Комиссия по изданию писем и бумаг Петра Великого». По мере проведения работ по оцифровке дела фонда будут размещаться на компьютере Читального зала Архива.

История архива

Архив СПБИИ РАН возник как преемник собраний Археографической комиссии, образованной в 1837 г. указом императора Николая I при Министерстве народного просвещения с целью собирания, изучения и издания исторических источников по истории России. К 1917 г. рукописные материалы Археографической комиссии составили 92 фонда и коллекции, насчитывавшие свыше 64 тысяч единиц хранения. Существенной частью коллекции ЛОИИ стала также коллекция знаменитого собирателя русских и западноевропейских актов, рукописных книг, автографов и печатей академика Н.П.Лихачева, создававшаяся с 80-х гг. XIX в. до начала Первой мировой войны.
